Exploits
". . . the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: . . . " [Daniel 11:32 – 34]
I don’t pretend to know what Daniel 11 is about, who the kings are or who the daughter of women is, but the verses above are plain. Those who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and have a deeply intimate relationship with Him, will receive revelation and be given opportunity to share it with a lot of people. And they will be tested. To whom much is given, much is required. [Luke 12:48]
The first time I took notice of this chapter, and came to the part about how the persecuted saints will be helped with a little help, my soul screamed, "Lord, we’re going to need to be helped with A LOT of help!" The Lord replied, "What is only a little help from me will be a lot of help to you. It will hardly tax my power at all to help you."
It depends on our perspective. If we’re grubbing around in the flesh, our problems seem big, but when we rise up to our seat in Heavenly places, the Earth is a tiny marble in space, its nations are a drop in the bucket, their wars are squabbles among ants, and our prayers, praising, singing, dancing, clapping, shouting in faith are quantum weapons that scatter our enemies.
If we think of our body as an avatar that enables us to engage with the physical world, which is not as real and solid as the spiritual realm, it doesn’t seem such a big deal what happens to it or to our possessions. The real person who lives eternally is with the Lord, watching what is happening, agreeing with Him about what He wants to happen next.
If our work on Earth is not finished, the avatar can be easily fixed, even if it was killed, the possessions, if need be, restored, or replaced and added to.
Born again Christians need to forget about the limitations of the past. Just because an unheard–of sort of miracle hasn’t happened before, that doesn’t mean that it can’t happen now. "Behold, I will do a NEW THING; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. " [Isaiah 43:19]
We need to let God take hold of our imagination to show us amazing things that He wants to do, in situations that we may not have realized exist as other people’s realities. There are a lot of hidden things coming out in the open now, but there are other things that have yet to be exposed that God wants to rectify.
It is going to require a commando type of faith to do the exploits required, a gung–ho "I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me" attitude for Indiana Jones types of adventures to go after the greatest treasures of all ‐ souls in deep bondage who need to be reconnected to our Creator and set free.
Are you ready to go wherever Jesus leads? To places and situations in this world that you never imagined existed?
Your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
[Psalm 119:11]
