Millennial Reign Deception
One of the craziest ideas floating around the Internet is that the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ has come and gone, and now we are in the period of time where satan is loosed to deceive the nations before The Last Battle. There are several things that prove this idea to be false.
But how did it get started? The groundwork was laid by the false idea that the Great Tribulation has already occurred. I first heard this preached by my own pastor in a church I attended in the 1990s. My pastor said that the Great Tribulation happened when Rome destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem and laid the city waste, slaughtering thousands of Jews, and forbidding the survivors to occupy their own land.
No doubt, that was great tribulation for the Jews, but it is not the great tribulation that occurs to all humanity when the Anti–Christ arises and insists that everybody take the Mark of the Beast. The universal Mark has not yet happened, though plenty of things have been implemented to work the way up to the Mark of the Beast.
I was surprised to hear my pastor, who had sound doctrine on plenty of other things, propose this cockamamie doctrine about the Great Tribulation having already occurred. I wrote him a letter, pointing out its flaws, but he still maintained his stance.
It is part of the foundation for the notion that the Millennium has also come and gone. This idea is also based on the theory that our timeline has had 1000 years added to it that actually did not occur.
It seems to me that all the trans–oceanic journeys and exploration of the continents, and the many civilizations that rose and fell upon them, needed 2000 years since the time of Christ for them to occur. I just can’t see all that happening in only 1000 years.
In North America, for instance, many peoples from many places arrived and established settlements or trade: Siberians, Norsemen, the Welsh, the Chinese, Egyptians, Carthaginians, Phoenicians, Jews, and God knows who else; they’ve left their artifacts all over.
There is also the possibility that most of our planet was once ruled by a Tartarian empire that built fabulous architecture all over the Earth, as well as star forts that were part of a global energy grid. It is conjectured that their empire was brought down by a weapon that caused mud floods, the knowledge of their advanced technology hidden from the general public by rewriting history, and replaced with a false narrative that exaggerated the breadth and power of the Roman Empire. I think that’s possible.
But what I don’t think is possible is that the Tartarian empire was the actual reign of Jesus Christ on Earth, as some claim. Just because they obviously had geniuses who could produce the fabulous architecture that was built hundreds of years ago, and had the use of energy that was obtained from air, water, and sound, as well as other inventions that have been suppressed or kept secret for the exclusive use of the cabal that took over, it doesn’t mean that these people were divine.
The fact that their empire was destroyed indicates to me, based on study of the Bible, that they must have been incredibly evil, and their downfall was God’s judgment on them.
It is the Bible that convinces me that the Millennial reign has not occurred. If Jesus ruled the nations with an iron rod, as the Bible predicts He will during the Millennium, there is no way that He allowed idols to be fashioned and set in place even in secret places, never mind public spaces.
Yet, pagan artifacts have been discovered all over the world that are thousands of years old: idols, temples, altars, charms, jewellery, clothing, paintings, etchings upon stone, clay tablets and manuscripts that extol false gods and goddesses. All this would have been destroyed at Jesus’ return, and certainly would not have been allowed to be manufactured during His reign.
The Bible instructed for gold to be melted down that was taken as spoil from the heathen, and idols to be burned or ground to powder. This is so obvious that I have to conclude that people who claim to be Christians, who hold to the idea that the Millennium has already happened, have never read the whole Bible cover to cover. That is something that everybody who is a Christian, and has access to the Bible, should do, or, at least, listen to the whole Bible on audiotape, if they can’t read.
It isn’t just the portrayal of gods, goddesses, and demons that give away the fact that the Millennium hasn’t occurred. It is centuries old paintings and carvings that portray sin from mild offenses to gross obscenity and violence.
Nudity isn’t going to be a thing during the Millennium. God covered Adam and Eve before they were driven out of Eden, Ham brought a curse on his progeny because he looked on his father’s nakedness in his tent, whereas Shem and Japheth were rewarded for covering it, Israel’s priests were commanded to wear breeches to cover their nakedness lest anyone saw up their skirts while performing their duties, uncovering their nakedness was a judgment upon Israel for its sins, and women were commanded in the New Testament to dress modestly.
But paintings and sculpture, even that which is considered to be Tartarian, shows nudity, orgies, cannibalism, and other depictions of violence and lewdness. It also shows wild animals engaged in violence. Animals won’t be wild or in any way harmful during the Millennium.
Also, though technology has been more advanced in the past than what conventional history has informed us, it will be far more advanced during the Millennium than it was during the reign of the Tartarians, or even before the Great Flood. People will again live for 1000 years, if they are godly people. Sinners will age quickly and die by the time they reach 100. Godly people living for 1000 years will be able to come up with far better technology than the antediluvians, and it won’t be used to perpetrate violence or indecency as it was before the Flood.
Jesus ruling with an iron rod means that He will not permit crime or injustice. It doesn't mean that He will be cruel; Jesus isn't like that. Crime will be quickly discovered and dealt with. A criminal’s own body will betray them, as it will show signs of advanced aging due to their negative deeds, which will lead to inquiry. Their crimes are not likely to be anywhere near as serious as the ones that are committed now, for demons will not be running loose, tempting people and provoking them to commit atrocities. Everybody is going to be a lot safer during the Millennium than what the world has ever experienced since the Fall.
If the Millennium has already happened and we are living in the time of satan’s release from the bottomless pit, people would retain in their memory how holy and beautiful Jesus’ reign was, instead of being born in total ignorance of it. The purpose of that 1000–year reign is to show humanity and the angels what it is like when truth and justice rule, and then for individuals to make up their mind as to whether they want to live under the god of this world, or the one true God. It will demonstrate the depravity of those who knew what it was like to live in a nearly perfect world, but chose to rebel against God anyway.
I have never seen the world in a state of near perfection. Nobody ever has, since the days of Eden before Adam and Eve were kicked out. If you can believe, even for a moment, that the Millennium has already happened, then you should ask the Lord to heal you of whatever causes you to buy into delusion. The Bible says that God gives grace to the humble. It is pride that will stop you from admitting that you were deceived or can be deceived. It is honesty and humility that God’s people exercise to get them out of the snare of deception.
Your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
[Psalm 119:11]
